Matlis Walk in is great. I do appreciate the quick reply from Dr. Matlis. but to be honest Dr. Franklin only works 1 day a week. EVERY time I book an appointment. You wait 1 hour past your scheduled time then another 45min In the examination room. I’ll be looking for another more available doctor as soon as I can. Maybe I can find a doctor that works minimum 2 days a week?
We have been going to this clinic for more than 5 years now. All the doctors (Dr. Matlis and Dr. Koldorf especially) are nice and patient and carefully listen to patients. Not once did we have a bad experience. Reception staff are also polite and respectful.
Mornings can get quite busy though.
I had bad knee pain since 14, and I’ve visited >10 doctors for this in both Canada and China. Some of those were “topic experts” and charging $200 per visit. But literally everyone told me to just stop running and then weightlift to build muscles around my knees. I did all that but twelve years later I’m still in pain with any tiny amount of walking.
Dr. Matlis was different. He actually took the time to listen to me and ordered X-ray and MRI. Turned out I had a small growth and that was causing my pain all those years! Over a decade of pain caused by this tiny thing. All those years I had to avoid walking running skiiing skating dancing cycling, basically every fun activity imaginable. It’s hard to put my feelings into words but I’m so glad I found Dr. Matlis
Best walk in clinic I’ve been since 20 years! Clean and well organized place. Very responsive! I had an urgent test, a very polite, nice and yonge lady at front desk assisted me immediately, a rare receptionist I’ve meet .
No haste no waiting time, it took less than one hour. I also had another wonderful experience, had a great pleasure to meet Dr. Amir Koldorf. He’s an absolute professional, who listens and cares for his patients. Generally, I had excellent experience with this clinic and all their services, I’d like give 10 Star, if I could.
If somebody needs walking clinic assist, I will highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Steven Matlis is the best doctor I have had in many years. He is kind, responsible and extremely knowledgeable. I visited Matlis clinic on Sunday in a terrible condition and was truly scared that what was wrong with me. He quickly could diagnose me with the right illness and the right treatment (based on my research it could be mistaken with other sickness symptoms and wrong medication could be detrimental for my condition). The blood test that I did the next day confirmed his diagnosis and the correct treatment path he took. I felt 70% better within a day of getting my medication.
(I doubt my family doctor could make a correct diagnosis on this case and I was kind of lucky that I got sick over the weekend and couldn't see my own family doctor!)
As it was a bit of an urgent and acute case for me, he called for a follow up and further instructions even on the day he was not in this office.
I can't appreciate him enough. This clinic and Dr. Matlis are highly recommended.
Great clinic. The reception staff and doctors are both incredibly effective and friendly. The great reviews here are warranted — there isn’t any sense of being herded/rushed as you might see with other busy clinics.
Would highly recommend. Pharmacy is right next door; scripts take roughly 15 minutes to fill.
Very great experience, first time there, reasonable wait time, although I showed up before they opened to line up at 930am.
For a first time patient doctor interaction, he really took his time and answered my questions. Very caring.
Infact after I returned back to work, a Co-Worker needed a doctor and I referred her and she went later that afternoon and had a very similar experience as me.
I've been weary about walk ins for a while, because in the past, the doctors seemed disinterested and packed the waiting room so tight that it felt like we were just cattle
